Six hang glider pilots from the Petersfield-based Sky Surfing Club travelled to Deenethorpe Airfield near Corby in Northamptonshire for the Great British Aerotow Revival (GBAR) event.
Tim King, Neville Almond and Neil Atkinson competed in class five (rigid wing).
Grant Crossingham and Justin Needham represented the club in class one (flexwing), while Nestor Londono participated in the sports class.
Over the seven-day period of GBAR, four competition tasks were completed covering a total distance of more than 230km.
Crossingham, who was the winner of the class one category, said: “It was well organised and efficiently run with a launch every three to five minutes to get 50 pilots in the air.
“On the last day I flew my new hang glider for the first time – and won the day completing the 60km task in less than one hour, 30 minutes – five minutes faster than the nearest pilot.
“Best of all, though, was the chance to catch up and fly with old friends.”
Sky Surfing Club members came away with a number of trophies, with Almond winning the class five category and Atkinson placing second.
