Farnham produced a fine performance to pick up an emphatic 55-5 win at home to North Dorset in Regional Two South Central.

The visitors scored the opening try early on after a short catch and drive effort.

Farnham responded positively and Jack Bemelmans went over in the corner. Skipper Toby Salmon added the conversion to put Farnham 7-5 up.

The home side then won a scrum penalty 30 metres out in front of the posts and Salmon added the three points. Salmon added another penalty shortly afterwards to make it 13-5.

Farnham then scored their second try when Oscar Henderson dived over a ruck to dot down. Salmon added the conversion to make it 20-5.

The home side then scored their third try when Ben Stevens released Salmon to waltz in untouched. Salmon added the extras to give Farnham a healthy 27-5 lead at half-time.

Farnham were quick out of the traps at the start of the second half and Jonny Vincent put the charging Henderson away down the wing to sprint in from 45 metres out and slide over to score his second – and Farnham’s fourth – try and secure the try bonus point. Salmon added the conversion to make it 34-5.

The fifth try followed when Benjy Biggs put Salmon in for another walk in. The conversion made it 41-5.

Shortly afterwards Farnham went through several phases to make their way up the pitch and Jonny Vincent went through a gap to score. The conversion made it 48-5.

Joe Wigmore scored the final try to seal a comprehensive victory.
