The Movember walk from Twickenham Stadium to Farnham RUFC has become an annual pilgrimage for the club.
This will be the third year that Farnham RUFC have undertaken the 60km challenge. The team start at 11pm on Friday (November 10) and will walk overnight to arrive at the club just before the first team’s home game on Saturday (November 11).
The route is non-stop and takes between 12 and 14 hours.
It’s a long slog, is dark and the paths the group take along the Thames, Weybridge Navigation Canal, Basingstoke Canal and Blackwater River are uneven and ridden with tree roots. The group will carry back packs full of liquids and snacks on the walk.
Anyone who would like to make a donation should visit the club’s Movember fundraising page.
