The 2023 Twickenham Stadium to Farnham Rugby Club 60km walk went off without a hitch.

This was the third year the club have taken on the walk to raise funds for Movember. The walkers set off at 11.15pm on Friday, November 10 and swapped back stories, rugby stories, funny stories and sad stories. At 4.30am the Basingstoke Canal became a prominent feature on the route.

A few of the club faithful turned up at the halfway mark with urns of hot tea and coffee, bacon and sausage rolls – putting a spring in blistered steps for the second half. The walkers came home to a heroes’ welcome from home teams, visiting clubs and respective supporters.
