It was a really fluid attacking display from Petersfield, who created tons of chances. Harrison Cable, Dec Seiden, Tom Dinsmore, Asad Ssemwogerere and star substitute Isaac Kamin, who hit a hat-trick, scored the goals.

Callum Kimber struck a post from long range, then Nathan Ball tipped a Cable shot round the post to set the tone.

On 19 minutes Wincanton’s Darren McAllister latched on to a poor back pass and his firm effort crashed off the Rams’ crossbar.

In the 22nd minute Cable had a moment to forget when he went round the keeper but could not hit the empty net. But a few minutes later he chased a long ball, beat the stranded keeper and made no mistake by rolling the ball into the open goal.

Cable was a live wire throughout, with Dec Seiden and Kian Towse also causing the Somerset side problems all night. Cable went through but was denied by a superb challenge, then Callum Kimber failed to divert a low cross from Towse.

In the 68th minute Kamin nodded in at the back post to finish a neat move started by Kieran Alcock and Cable. Three minutes later a Cable run beat the defensive line and his legs were taken away as he rounded the keeper. Seiden sent the penalty into the corner.

Kamin completed his hat-trick with two late strikes. A cross from the edge of the box left him unmarked with time to take a touch and fire into the roof of the net. Then using pure pace to give Jack Dicker no chance, he took one touch to get in on goal before powering in at the near post.

Dinsmore made it six with a deflected effort that looped into the top corner, baffling the fans who thought it had gone wide. Deep into added time Ssemwogerere completed a clever interchange with new signing Brandon Miller before passing the ball across goal and into the bottom corner.
