3rd Farnham Scouts in central Farnham received a pleasant surprise with an unexpected donation of £1,400 from the Farnham Hedgehog’s Spring Quiz.

Both groups have worked together for several years with the Scouts providing equipment and manpower help at The Hedgehog’s mulled wine stall on bonfire night and with the Farnham Carnival parade each year in June. 

Hedgehogs were aware of the need for additional upgrading works at the 3rd Farnham Scout Group’s home at Daniel Hall and offered their quiz proceeds to help kick-start activities.

The annual Spring Quiz is The Hedgehog’s longest-running charity event and is now over 30 years old, held each year at the Memorial Hall in Farnham.

Last year’s quiz attracted 88 quizzers who were provided with a ploughman’s supper along with a raffle and other games.
