The A31 Farnham Bypass was closed westbound on Thursday afternoon after a driver suffered a 'medical episode'.
Police were called at around 3.45pm to the A31 Farnham Bypass near the Weydon Lane junction after reports of a man unconscious in a car.
The driver, a man in his 50s, suffered a medical episode. Police and ambulance attended, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The current condition of the man is unknown, say police. The Herald has approached South East Coast Ambulance Service for a statement.
There was a road closure in place on the westbound carriageway for just over 30 minutes while emergency services attended.
The man's car was abandoned on the grass verge between the A31 and Weydon Lane until it was recovered later on Thursday.
No other parties were involved.
