A FLURRY of sheep, a twinkle of stars, kings, travellers, angels and a beautiful baby boy. The pre-prep nativity performance of ‘A King is Born’ truly marked the start of Christmas at Barfield School in Farnham.
The children performed to three sell-out audiences who were all extremely impressed by the confidence of the children, some who are as young as two years old.
As you would expect, the odd halo slipped over a child’s eyes and the occasional tail was tugged by a fellow sheep. But all of this simply added to the charm and the magic of such young children taking to the stage.
Thanks to the generosity of parents, grandparents and friends in the audience, a charity collection at the end of the performances raised a massive £628.82 for Surrey Young Carers.
This money will make a big difference to the charity which supports young people, under the age of 18, who provide regular and on-going care and emotional support to a family member who is physically or mentally ill.
