THE Abbey School in Farnham has benefited from two separate grants equalling a total of £2,300 from Farnham Town Council and Farnham South Street Trust.
The town council’s grant of £1,500 will go towards purchasing five Apple Macs to transform a room into a media, performing arts and music base.
The computers will be used to create films, edit and create animation as well as photography. In addition music will be created on the computers.
The trust’s donation of £800 will go towards a pottery workshop at Farnham Pottery - each student will participate and work with the ceramist in the workshop.
Alongside this the project would also like to take the students to The Watts Gallery to learn about Mary Watts and clay artefacts.
