An East Hampshire tennis club has served up a four-figure cheque for a cancer-fighting charity following an ace day of fundraising.

Rain didn’t stop fundraisers from having a smashing time at Kingsley Indoor Tennis Centre on Saturday, August 24, with the action taking place indoors.

Their tennis-athon in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer was a massive success with more than £1,000 being netted at the time of writing.

Participants of all ages and abilities tried their hand at a variety of racquet sports from tennis and pickleball to badminton and table tennis with some donning fancy dress for the occasion.

The sound of fun and laughter drowned out the sound of rain hitting the roof with organisers hailing the amazing support shown on the day for a very worthwhile cause.
