A football club is hopeful of bagging a load of cash for a Farnham charity with a fundraising community day.
Badshot Lea FC will warm up for their Saturday, October 26, fixture against Southall with a day of fun in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
Local companies have thrown their support behind the Baggies while logistics company Hi-speed have sponsored the 3pm event at the Westland Lane ground in Wrecclesham.
Families of four can watch the game for just £5 with a promotional leaflet while every child will receive a free lucky dip and all pre-match activities are free.
The fun will include live rock and indie music in the evening, a fireworks display and raffle some top prizes.
Organiser and Badshot Lea fundraiser Nick Hester said: “It’s something I've wanted to do for a long time.
“We are always trying to get people down the ground to support us but it’s nice to give something back and support an amazing charity as well as having an opportunity to showcase our facilities and let people see the good standard of football on offer at the same time.
''We struggle with crowds due to where we are and I bet some people in Wrecclesham don't even know that there is a Step 4 Football Club on their doorstep, so it’s a joint venture really, trying to get the local community involved and raising as much money as possible for the hospice.”
