Did you know that you can visit a filming location from Bridgerton’s latest season right here in Surrey?
Painshill Park in Cobham is only a 40 minute drive from Farnham and is an ideal outdoor location to experience the last of spring and the upcoming summer. With sprawling green gardens, tranquil lake, 18th century bridges, gothic buildings, a crystal grotto and more.
In season 1, the park served as the backdrop for a picnic, courting scenes and as the focus for a intimate scene between the two character leads.
Bridgerton director and producer Tom Verica said: “One of our marquee locations this season was the balloon sequence, which I think feels like it's a new location for our audience.
”But it actually is Painshill Park, which we shot at in Season One, when Daphne and Simon walk across the bridge together. That was the first time going back since then.”
In season 3, the park’s greenery and Serpentine Lake plays host to an event launching the hot air balloon.
Locations manager Tony Hood added: “Our man Hawkins is trying to prove that flight is possible with his hot air balloon, and all the time the rest of the ton is doing the usual promenade. It's a fantastic valley next to a lake, which is a great big bowl where we can throw a camera around 360 degrees. “
