Two good causes have raised a glass to a Farnham pub company and their counterparts after receiving a share of £34,000.

Well-wishers from New Dawn Pubs raised the impressive sum for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care and Abby’s Heroes Children’s Cancer Care through their annual charity walk.

They joined forces with figures from The Barley Mow in Tilford, Farnham firm 1st Call Trees and Insta Group on the 65-mile trek from Westminster Bridge to Brighton Pier.

Some 35 hardy fundraisers took part in the three-day trek with funds being equally split between the two charities.

“If we can help in just a little way to ensure our community and loved ones have access to such incredible charities to support them through tough times, it’s all the purpose we need,” said Mark Robson, the managing director of New Dawn Pubs.

The companies self-financed the challenge to ensure every penny raised went to charity.
