A Farnham-based business owner is celebrating after winning a prestigious award.

Stephen Kerr, who founded and owns mortgage and insurance brokerage Kerr & Watson with business partner Daniel Watson, is celebrating after the firm won Best Newcomer in the Mortgage Space at the 2024 MoneyAge Mortgage Awards.

The awards ceremony took place at the Waldorf Hotel in London and featured winners included HSBC, Metro Bank and Legal & General.

The Best Newcomer in the Mortgage Space category was shortlisted to three finalists, with the runners-up being the lender Quantum Mortgages and Responsible Lending, an equity release lender partnered with Royal London.

Kerr & Watson was founded in January 2023 by mortgage advisers Stephen Kerr and Daniel Watson, who knew one another from long careers in financial services. Based in Farnborough, they look after many clients in and around Farnham and attend local networking events, as well as having links to local estate agents and solicitors.

They help clients such as first-time buyers, home movers, property investors, business owners and those seeking lifetime mortgages.
