The founder of a Farnham clinic has urged young people to prioritise sleep to improve their skin.

Skin Investment Clinic founder Holly Mason is urging teens and young adults to take a closer look at their sleep routines as it could impact on skin quality.

Studies show inadequate rest can trigger inflammation, hormonal imbalances and slow skin recovery. And with late nights and revelry over the Christmas period in the pipeline, young people may find their skin and sleep will be affected.

Holly said: “Sleep is a critical component of skin health.

“As financial concerns and holiday stresses pile up, sleep quality can drop, which has real implications for skin conditions like acne.

“Without adequate rest, the body can’t effectively manage inflammation or repair skin cells, creating a perfect environment for acne to persist. This understanding is a powerful tool for young people wanting to improve their skin naturally.”
