Representatives from a Farnham charity recently attended a gala dinner and awards ceremony in London after being nominated for a prestigious award.
Challengers was shortlisted from hundreds of national charities for the 19th edition of the Learning Award at the Children and Young People Now Awards.
The awards, which took place at the Novotel in Hammersmith on Thursday, November 28, celebrated the vital work of services supporting children, young people, and families.
Challengers' 555 service provides support to families of disabled young people aged 8 to 19 who are currently out of education.
While the award ultimately went to Suffolk-based charity Catch22 and its Include Suffolk scheme, Challengers’ head of service Paul Wilson said it was an honour to be nominated.
He said: “Over 500 entries were submitted for the awards this year, so we’re thrilled to see our 555 team’s hard work recognised on a national scale.”
