PREPARE for an evening of light entertainment as Bordon town centre will step into Christmas in a few hours.

Mayor Cllr Leeroy Scott will have the honour of turning on the Chalet Hill and High Street Christmas lights tonight (Friday, November 24) 5pm.

Cllr Scott said: “I’m so excited to welcome you all here tonight, either in person or watching online. 

"Last year’s lights display were a real success and so we wanted to mark the beginning of the Christmas period again, with our new town tradition of our Christmas lights switch on.”

The event will be streamed live on the Whitehill Town Council Facebook page at www.facebook.com/whitehilltowncouncil

The area covered has been extended with lights now stretching from Corals bookmakers to the Old Dairy and Topfloor carpet shop.
