A Farnham woman is due to appear in court this morning after being charged with shoplifting offences in Aldershot.

Abbie Folkes was charged with two counts of theft from a shop after being arrested by officers on “proactive patrol” in the town yesterday (Wednesday, March 5).

The 32-year-old of East Street, who was also charged with breaching a criminal behaviour order, is accused of stealing a number of items from the Sainsbury’s store on Ash Road and Iceland products from The Range on Ivy Road.

She was spotted leaving the Sainsbury’s and tried to run away, but was detained nearby and arrested.
