AMERY Hill School has appointed Stephen Mann as the its new headteacher from September.
Mr Mann is a highly experienced and inspirational leader and joins Amery Hill from Wildern School, Hedge End, where he is the current deputy head.
Mr Mann joins Amery Hill School with excellent experience to build upon recent school successes. He shares the governing body’s visionary outlook, strong values and sense of community and he will further strengthen the school’s academic excellence within a nurturing and student focused environment.
Jacky Wilde, chairman of governors, said: “The governors of the school are extremely proud of the substantial contribution the departing headteacher Elizabeth Wylie made to the performance and culture of Amery Hill School.
“Along with hard work from staff, students and families, she leaves the school with an ethos of high aspirations and success.”
She added: “We are grateful for the hard work and exceptional results Mrs Wylie has secured for Amery Hill over the last few years.
“As we move into the next phase of evolution, Stephen Mann will be a great asset to lead our school and to develop the many exciting plans Amery Hill has for the next years. Our focus is to inspire every student with a love of learning for an education for life.”
