Weydon School is leading the way for state schools in the area after being included in the Good Schools Guide.
The Good Schools Guide includes around 1,300 schools countrywide with each school being selected on merit. Schools cannot pay to be included.
The report praised Weydon School for its “solid processes and established teaching methods” which were “underpinned with real care and delivered by an established, happy staff”.
The school proved “big can be beautiful”, demonstrating “this is slick state schooling at its best”.
Principal Jackie Sharman said:“This is a significant milestone for Weydon School; we know there is a rigorous selection process and are delighted to be included.
“Weydon was described as ‘warm and respectful’, a testament to both staff and students and I could not be more proud.”
Other Farnham schools to feature in the guide include independent schools such as Barfield, Edgeborough, More House and Frensham Heights.
