Folly Hill Infant Academy is celebrating the outcome of its recent Ofsted report, where it was rated as ‘outstanding’ by government inspectors.
It is also celebrating being the first school in the Kite Academy Trust, which it joined in 2022, to achieve this accolade in all areas judged: quality of education; behaviour and attitudes; personal development; leadership and management; and early years provision.
The Ofsted inspectors, who visited the school in mid-November, highlighted the “warm and respectful relationships between staff and pupils”, the “exemplary” behaviour and “kindness and consideration” shown by the pupils, and the “superb” quality of education.
There are high expectations and the inspectors noticed how inclusive the school is and how children flourish there.
Jeremy Meek, chief executive of The Kite Academy Trust, said “We are absolutely delighted that the inspection judged Folly Hill to be outstanding in all areas, emphasising the academy’s consistently high standards that enable all children to thrive and flourish.
“We could not be prouder of the highly inclusive ethos at Folly Hill which ensures that every pupil receives an exceptional education and an equal opportunity to thrive and succeed in life.
“I would like to share my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the entire Kite team at Folly Hill, who have been superbly led by Mrs [Alison] Stone, for this remarkable achievement.
“Thanks to the commitment of our wonderful people at this exceptional academy and from across the Trust, we have achieved the first outstanding in all areas judgement in The Kite Academy Trust’s history! This is yet another immensely proud moment for our entire trust and demonstration of the power of our truly collaborative one team ethos.”
Folly Hill is a small infant school in north Farnham and had previously been judged ‘outstanding’ before it joined The Kite Academy Trust.
Mrs Stone recently stepped down as headteacher at Folly Hill to take on the role of head at Sandringham Infant and Nursery Academy in Frimley. She has been succeeded by Clare Freeman, who also serves as head of Hale Nursery and Primary Academy.
