Elstead’s annual Paperboat Race will return on Sunday, July 7 and the theme is ‘celebrating 200 years of Cadbury!’

Registration starts at 11am and the race starts at midday. All boats must be newly built for this year’s race, and all entrants must be good swimmers and be medically fit to participate.

The event is run by Elstead Girlguiding and proceeds go towards next year’s event and to Elstead Girlguiding groups.

Organisers said: “Our theme should give you ample opportunity to show your creative side with a chocolate bar, hot chocolate, fruit and nut anyone?

“It's great fun to take part in and to watch! Why not build a boat and join in this very different but great village event!”
