Festive stalls, face painting and even a live nativity will all be part of the fun on offer at Farnham's festive lights switch on.
The town's annual Christmas lights switch-on event takes place this Saturday [November 18] at Gostrey Meadow. The switch will be flipped at 4.30pm by a special guest and an afternoon of fun is to be had in the lead-up.
From 1pm, there will be free live entertainment from schools, theatre groups, dance companies and local bands.
Attractions include:
- Live nativity
- Cozy Santa’s grotto (children receive a free gift)
- Children's fairground rides
- Face painting
- Food and drink
- Craft table
As well as being a great afternoon for children, there is also festive stalls selling gifts, food and drink.
The event is a huge success each year and is certain to get everyone in the spirit of Christmas.
Councillor Kika Mirylees, Lead Member for Community for Farnham Town Council, said: “For Christmas shoppers, I highly recommend browsing the stalls which we have handpicked specially for the occasion.
"If you find yourself in need of sustenance, stop by at one of the refreshment stalls for a delicious bite to eat and a warming drink.”
