A student with a passion for history is using his knowledge of Farnham to fund a school trip to South America.

Finn Doherty must be the town’s youngest tour guide as the 15-year-old led a History Walking Tour of Farnham in May.

The walking festival event was part of a fundraising bid to secure a place on a humanitarian trip to Peru next summer.

The student with “a passion for history” will be back on the trail later this month with multiple dates planned for the summer.

The next two-hour circular trip will begin at 2pm on Gostrey Meadows Bandstand on Saturday, July 20, with another starting at the same time and venue on Sunday, August 4.
