Familiar tunes will ring out across north Farnham as a series of carol services will begin this Sunday at 6pm at St John’s church in Hale.
The opening service will be a traditional one of nine lessons and carols with readings by members of the Farnham community including mayor, Cllr Brodie Mauluka, teachers and pupils from local schools, and Revd John Edwards from Holy Family Catholic Church.
This will be followed the next Sunday (December 15) at 6pm by a carol service at St George’s Church, Badshot Lea, where Badshot Lea Village Infant School will sing Away in a Manger, and there will be readings by local residents, councillors and Gemma Ball, head of the school.
Carols, accompanied by live music, will be sung outdoors on Friday, December 20, at 6pm at Hale Chapels in the cemetery in Alma Lane. This will be followed by refreshments across the road in St Mark’s Church.
