People across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight could soon pay more money to help the police recruit more officers, improve the 101 call service and open more front counters at stations.
If approved, the amount households pay the police through council tax would go up £10 to £261.46 for a band D home in 2024-25, an extra income of £7.2 million.
Police and crime commissioner Donna Jones wants to put it up to give “the best opportunity to ensure my visions”.
