IN A DAZZLING display that lit up the Haslemere sky, almost 800 people flocked to Haslemere Museum’s annual fireworks and bonfire evening, raising crucial funds for the 135-year-old museum.
The night featured performances by the Haslemere Rock Choir which bookended the fireworks show.
The 1st Haslemere Scouts sizzled up a storm with a burger barbecue, while museum volunteers kept attendees warm with mulled wine, candy floss, popcorn and hot chocolate. As the museum’s flagship fundraiser, this event was vital for the museum’s charity status.
While figures have yet to be confirmed, the museum is hoping the event raised £2,000.
Upcoming events include a Christmas shopping day on Saturday, with discounts for members, and many Christmas crafts workshops and children’s activities in the weeks to come — bookable on the museum website here.
