It looks like the relationship between a Farnham good cause and a green-thinking group is blossoming.

Members of the Farnham Lions Club recently presented a £1,200 cheque to Space2Grow to help with the costs of their weekly Nature Club.

The after-school club at the community wellbeing garden is run by Catherine Lloyd with the aim of giving children, young carers and those with limited access the time to enjoy nature and make a connection with the natural environment.

Organisers also want participants to notice seasonal change and celebrate nature’s events through the year.

“Children also benefit from the general wellbeing, enhanced communication skills, resilience, independence and collaboration as well as a desire to make positive steps to engage more with the natural world now and in the future,” said a spokesperson for the Lions following the recent handover.
