Check out what’s on during the May school holidays from Saturday May 25, to Sunday, June 2.
Birdworld, Farnham
Just in time for the holidays, Birdworld has an exciting new indoor attraction called Love + Colour from May 25 to June 2. As you are surrounded by the speculator colours of exotic birds you will be able to experience the different aspects that make up the world of our soaring companions. The attraction is included in the ticket price so don’t miss out!
Hatchlands Park, East Clandon
For eager nature enthusiasts, Hatchlands Park is home to more than 25 species of butterfly and the National Trust has set up a trail to spot them. A free spotting sheet is provided so families can take note of what they have seen, but you may have to look closely for the ones in hiding. There is also the historic house to explore, donkeys to pet and the Great Wix Wood.
Go Ape, Alice Holt Forest
Seeking adventure? Go Ape has plenty of activities to choose from including high ropes, segways, zip lining, bike riding, bouncy nets 30 ft above the ground and more. You can enjoy it all in the naturally-stunning surroundings of the Alice Holt Forest and it’s only 15 minutes by car from Farnham making it easily accessible.
Watercress Line, Alresford
Want to meet childhood favourite Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends? Watercress Line is holding a ‘Day out with Thomas’ giving train-goers the opportunity to ride behind the iconic tank engine and have a meet and greet with Sir Topham Hatt, Rusty and Dusty. Make sure to pre-book a time when purchasing tickets.
