Farnham will enjoy an illuminating next Thursday evening (October 31) as a lantern parade will bring the town’s annual craft month to a close.

Community groups, schools, families and friends have created lanterns for the event with a procession due to leave Gostrey Meadow at 6.15pm for St Andrew’s.

The inaugural festival has been inspired by the Celtic celebration which marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter.

Cameras and phones will need to be charged and ready to capture a brilliant end to a month which has shown the best of local makers and artists.

Since the launch at Pierrepoint Farm on October 5 the event has seen venues such as the Maltings, Farnham Pottery, Museum of Farnham, Hale Community Centre and many more host exhibitions and events.

Inspiring people to get involved and learn new skills.
