OOMPA-LOOMPAS, Twits and Matildas took centre stage at St Mary’s Primary School, Chiddingfold, last Friday, when it mounted a fundraising Dahlicious Dress Up Day.

Schools and offices across the UK joined forces in aid of author Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which supports UK youngsters living with serious, rare and undiagnosed conditions.

“We had lots of orange-faced Oompa-Loompas and everyone who dressed up donated £1 to the charity,” office administrator Zoe Bishop said. “All the children loved it and they had a brilliant time.

“We had several Fantastic Mr Foxes, one of which was fully kitted out, and a few Willy Wonkas, as well as many Matildas. Teachers and staff dressed up too. There was a great Mr Twit and a BFG.”
