Drivers in and around Waverley will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm June 28 to 6am October 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Hazel Grove to Thursley, carriageway and lane closures for communications work.

• A3, from 9pm June 7 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A3, from 9pm October 4 to 6am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Lower Eashing, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

• A3, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via national highways network.

• M3, from 9pm October 7 to 6am October 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 5, slip road closure for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
