Sir, – Can you please help me to trace anyone who may have witnessed the following Road Rage incident which took place at the Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Farnham, last Thursday, March 13 at approximately 4-45 pm?

I was driving my green Clio eastbound from Farnham and had to negotiate the S&F roundabout in order to gain access to the Hog's Back. As I left the roundabout it was impossible for me to use the left hand lane as it is a filter lane giving priority to traffic coming from the left. Continuing to drive on the right hand lane, I was subjected to extremely aggressive and intimidating driving by the car behind which was almost on my bumper. Over the next 200 yards or so, I was unable to pull over to the left as this lane was too full of traffic but I nevertheless accelerated until I was eventually able to manoeuvre into a gap.

At this point, the man driving the car behind me took complete leave of his senses and decided to target me as his victim by cutting in front of me so closely and braking fiercely that I lost control of my car trying to avoid impact with his car and the others around me. I was forced to veer violently left and right several times but miraculously avoided collision with the verge or the other drivers. When I reached the safety of a lay-by, the offending car had disappeared.

I was so shocked that I was unable to recall details of the enraged driver's car but I have been advised by the police that if there is anyone who witnessed the incident and who can provide identifying details, they will be prepared to consider prosecution for dangerous driving.

Not only was I fortunate not to end up in hospital (or a mortuary) but so, too, were the other innocent drivers around me who could so easily have been subjected to a ghastly pile-up. Motorists such as this should not be tolerated and I will do my damnedest to have him brought to book. Can anyone please help me to trace him?
