STUDENTS representing the Fearnhamme School Confederation, which is a partnership of 12 local schools took part in a Armistice Day service in Farnham on Wednesday.
Shortly before 11am around 50 children, teachers, members of the public and the Mayor of Farnham, Pat Frost assembled at the Gostrey Meadow war memorial.
The service began with members of the British Legion parading to the war memorial. On the stroke of 11am, the standard bearer lowered the flag and a two-minute silence was observed.
As part of the act of remembrance, a student from The Abbey School laid a wreath on behalf of the confederation and each child placed a cross on the memorial.
After the service, the children returned to Farnham Town Council to join the mayor for refreshments.
