Police investigating a stabbing in Frensham have arrested a second man as more details emerge about the scale of Monday’s incident.

Two women were taken to hospital following the incident in Peakfield around 2.45pm with armed officers among those being called to the scene.

A woman in her 40s who suffered serious arm injuries was treated at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance before being taken to hospital.

A second woman in her 50s at the same address was also taken to hospital for treatment after suffering GBH injuries.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH while a further 59-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of affray with both remaining in police custody.
