POLICE forensics officers are investigating a ’snatch’ burglary at Goldsmith’s jewellers on the corner of West Street and Lion and Lamb Yard in Farnham.

The theft took place at around 11.15am on Monday and prompted the shop to close its shutters and doors to customers as officers gathered evidence.

A police patrol car was seen parked outside the shop soon after the incident was reported, followed by an unmarked white forensics van from around 1.30pm.

Goldsmith’s specialises in luxury watches and jewellery from high-end brands including TAG Hauer, Omega, Rolex, Vera Wang and Chanel.
