YEAR two pupils from South Farnham Infants School planted flower baskets to adorn the Bourne crossroads area as part of the ongoing Bourne Beautification Project.

A competition for the ‘the best basket’ was judged by Sue Pritchard, owner of the Lavender Hill floral boutique sited at the Bourne crossroads.

The three children who created the winning basket were presented with a ‘Garden in a Box’ mini-garden kit by Bourne Beautification Project organiser Val Nye.

All who participated in the mini-competition received a further token award in thanks for their enthusiasm.
