LANE closures are expected to cause traffic delays on the A31 stretching between the Coxbridge roundabout and the Hogs Back next week.

Surrey County Council is set to undertake “inspection of structure” and vegetation clearance, on the A31 at Puttenham on March 5 and 6, followed by the Farnham bypass on March 6 and 7.

This will give motorists a taste of the imminent two to three-year lane closure on the A31 between Hickleys Corner and the Shepherd and Flock roundabout to facilitate a temporary construction access for the Brightwells regeneration scheme.

Temporary traffic lights are also scheduled over the next week in Castle Hill, Farnborough Road, Guildford Road, Wrecclesham Hill, West Street, the B3001 in Elstead, Alma Lane, Echo Barn Lane, Shortheath Road and Tilford Road in Churt.
