The head of the organisation that oversees eight Farnham-area schools has congratulated students following a strong set of GCSE results.
Overall results at the Weydon Multi Academy Trust have improved on 2023 with performances now equalling and even surpassing some pre-pandemic results.
The trust – which oversees Weydon, Farnham Heath End, Woolmer Hill and Rodborough academies, and The Ridgeway, Abbey and Park special schools – has reported that student progress has improved by a fifth of a grade at both GCSE Maths and English.
The four WMAT secondaries have all achieved improved outcomes in both progress and attainment scores, while the 15 per cent poiny increase in strong passes for disadvantages students is “particularly pleasing”.
John Winter, CEO of WMAT said: “Our overall progress score of 0.4 across all four schools is a wonderful testimony to the dedication of staff, students and leadership teams in each of our schools.”
