Excitement is building at Brightwells Yard as Nando’s prepares to spice up Farnham’s dining scene with its official opening on Monday, December 16.
This week, the Herald was invited for an exclusive first look at the much-anticipated restaurant.
After months of speculation, the opening date has finally been confirmed, and diners can soon enjoy the famous peri-peri chicken at the new location.
Residents have been eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the restaurant since the Herald reported it could be coming to town way back in August 2023.
Ahead of the launch, the Brightwells Yard branch held a special preview event on Tuesday, December 10. The lively evening for invited guests featured wings, crafts, and a sneak peek of the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere.
Invitations were sent to a mix of guests, including University for the Creative Arts (UCA) students and staff from the Farnham Maltings, all of whom got to sample the dishes ahead of the opening weekend.
The new Nando’s will operate seven days a week from 11.30am to 10pm, with seating for up to 94 people.
For those who prefer to enjoy their meal at home, the restaurant will also offer takeaway and click and collect services.
Guests at the preview event were treated to complimentary wings and drinks, giving the team a chance to run through the evening’s operations before the big opening. The lively atmosphere of the event suggests that Nando’s could become a popular addition to Brightwells Yard.
In a bid to encourage customers to explore the new dining options, the car park off Dogflud Way will be free of charge throughout the Christmas period.
Restaurant manager Matt shared his excitement, adding: "We’re thrilled to open our doors to the Farnham community! The restaurant looks fantastic, and we can’t wait to start serving up our signature peri-peri chicken and great vibes to our new customers."
The unveiling of Nando’s wraps up the new businesses opening in Brightwells Yard in 2024 but with many units yet to be fitted more exciting news is expected to come in 2025.
