Tractors took to the streets once again this festive season to raise money for a life-saving service in Hampshire.

RMW’s Charity Tractor Run travelled far and wide through Petersfield and surrounding areas to support Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) on Saturday, December 14.

So far the event has raised more than £4,500, with the target being set at £10,000. Last year, the event raised just over £8,000 smashing the original goal of raising £7,000.

Organiser Mark Rowden said: “I would like to say a few thank yous, first of all to the tractor drivers and owners who took the time and effort into decorating their tractors and joining us for another fantastic evening. Especially the ones on vintage tractors joining me to brave the cold weather, without all of them we would not have this amazing event.

“Judith and the team of willing volunteers from HIOWAA walking the streets and collecting the donations. Harvey at Puffin Plastics Ltd for the donation signs, and everyone else involved with making this such a community event.

“I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I look forward to announcing the grand total in January. Thanks for your continued support!”
