The path is clear for a nicer journey into town as the first stage of a riverside upgrade has been completed.
Riverside Walk between Brightwells and the Riverside car parks has been reopened after being upgraded to a shared walking and cycling path.
Some work is outstanding like the painting of white lines and sign installation but they do not require the footpath to be closed.
The upgrade is part of the Farnham Infrastructure Programme involving the county, borough and town council and is being seen as the first completed part of town centre works.
Borelli Walk is also getting an upgrade but disruption is expected on the section between South Street and Brightwells until May due to work linked with the latter.
