A school near Haslemere has grade expectations after putting its trust in a growing educational family.
Beacon Hill Community Primary School and Clifton Hill School in Caterham, near Croydon, have been welcomed to the class as they’ve both joined the Weydon Multi Academy Trust.
The WMAT now numbers 11 schools with the Trust’s CEO, John Winter, believing their arrival will improve capacity and resources for all its members.
He said: “There is an ongoing need for schools to work together to provide excellent educational opportunities for all, embracing new technologies and building world class sports and creative arts facilities.
“By coming together we can create specialists in every element of school life – I am confident this development will be a huge success both for students and staff across our family of schools.”
“We are excited to be joining the WMAT community of schools,” said Beacon Hill headteacher, Rebecca Neeves.
“We share the vision that we are stronger together and look forward to collaborating with new colleagues all aspects of school improvement, but especially in the establishment of WMAT’s primary sector”.
Clifton Hill School provides education for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties.
“We are excited about joining WMAT,” said Clifton Hill headteacher, Lucy Wijsveld.
“We believe through collaboration with new colleagues across the Trust, we can create even more opportunities to provide high quality education for our students with an emphasis on developing communication skills and community-based learning.
We are particularly keen to share expertise with colleagues in the other SEN schools in the Trust family”.
The nine schools which previously made up the WMAT are: Weydon, Farnham Heath End, Woolmer Hill, Frogmore College, Rodborough, Crondall Primary, The Ridgeway, The Abbey and The Park School.
