Alton beat Havant by five wickets on Saturday in a crucial match between the bottom two sides in the Southern Premier Cricket League Premier Division.
Alton captain Scott Myers won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first.
Tom Varney made the breakthrough, removing Havant captain Pete Hopson for 23.
Zack Gadsby dismissed Charlie Whitfield and Ben Feeney in quick succession as Havant slipped to 29 for three.
Rob Woolley (25) and Louis Clayton (17) took the score to 74 before Gadsby (three for 38) bowled Woolley. Clayton was then bowled by Dan Sumner.
Chris Stone (35) and Chris Morgan added 32 before Stone was dismissed by Tom South. Ollie Perkins was dismissed first ball, and Ben Rolfs trapped Morgan leg before wicket to leave Havant on 121 for eight.
South (three for six) and Sumner (two for ten) mopped up the tail as Havant were bowled out for 142.
Alton openers Abhay Gonella and Dan Harris added 25 before Harris was bowled for five.
Rolfs was bowled for ten, Myers fell for a duck and Sam Ruffell fell for six as Alton slipped to 65 for four.
Gonella and South added 64 before Gonella fell for 63, and South (40 not out) and Mark Heffernan (five not out) saw Alton home.
Alton’s second team beat East Woodhay by 106 runs.
Ryan Hale (139) and Aarav Rajnikanth (104) added 216 for the second wicket as Alton scored 302 for five.
Tom Andrews (five for 20) starred with the ball as Alton bowled the hosts out for 196.
Alton’s fourth team lost by six wickets at Wood Street’s second team.
Cam Rhodes (21) and Oli Billington (28) were the pick of the batters as Alton were bowled out for 101. The hosts knocked the runs off in the 26th over.
Alton’s women lost by 57 runs against New Forest Women.
