Well-known local band The TR5’s are about to make their first appearances in Farnham for two years.

They will be performing at Beerex in the Farnham Maltings on April 11 at 8.30pm, and at Birdies Coffee House and Bar on May 23 at 8pm.

A spokesman for the band told the Herald: “In the last two years The TR5’s have made a real impact on the local and national music scene with their playful style of rock ’n’ roll.

“From commanding the stage at the Cavern Club in Liverpool to captivating an audience of over 2,000 at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the band has gone from strength to strength.”

The TR5’s are made up of manager and acoustic guitarist Lucky, lead vocalist Rusty, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Eddie, bassist and backing vocalist Buzz and drummer Ted.

After a successful debut album, released in 2024 and virtually sold out in less than a year, Foot Tapping Records will get The TR5’s back in the studio at the beginning of May to record a remarkable collection of mostly original numbers which is bound to be popular with their many loyal fans.

Other notable gigs by The TR5’s include a rousing support slot for Lee Rocker from the Stray Cats, entertaining a Christmas crowd at the celebrated music venue Dingwalls in Camden, and raising the roof at the Southampton Engine Rooms.

This spring they will also play Water Rats in Kings Cross (April 19, 7.30pm), Beatles Day in Walthamstow Trades Hall (May 25, 5pm) and ShyneFest in Guildford (May 31, stage time to be confirmed).

The spokesperson added: “The unique selling point of this band is that they put on a truly infectious stage show. You will smile, you will dance, you will sing along, even if you don’t know the words. A fun night out is guaranteed.”
