Green-minded locals can learn new skills in the great outdoors by volunteering at a beauty spot near Farnham.
Volunteering opportunities are frequently available at Tice’s Meadow with a host of four-hour sessions taking place over the coming weeks.
The work varies greatly with tasks including vegetation clearance, path maintenance, fence and gate repairs, habitat management and wildlife surveys.
Sessions are run by Surrey County Council with volunteers asked to meet at Horton’s Mound at 10am on Friday, February 21, or at the same time and place on Saturday, March 1.
Sessions will begin at the same time and place every Friday in March thereafter, for more details look for countryside volunteering at www.surreycc.gov.uk or email [email protected]
