An emotive subject about life and death will be the topic when a free-thinking group holds a landmark meeting in Farnham.

Voluntary Assisted Dying: What should the UK Parliament decide? is the question Farnham Humanists will ask at this year’s public meeting on Wednesday, November 27.

A Private Member’s Bill on Assisted Dying is being debated in parliament ahead of a proposed vote on November 29.

The free public talk and discussion in the Farnham Maltings two days beforehand is a great opportunity to hear more about this important ethical issues with four well-informed speakers lined-up to give different views and perspectives.

Trevor Moore (Chair of My Death, My Decision) will speak at the meeting along with palliative medicine specialist, Dr Amy Profitt, Dignity in Dying board member, Marie-Louise Papworth, and Humanists against Assisted Dying CEO, Kevin L. Yuill.

Refreshments will be available from the Farnham Maltings bar ahead of the 8pm meeting with event chair, Belinda Schwehr, introducing the main speakers thereafter.

Contributions from the floor and chaired questions to the speakers will follow at 8.45pm with a close and thanks scheduled an hour later.
