There will be a hot new attraction at Wrecclesham’s annual Village Fete this weekend as a fire engine will one of the highlights of a fun-filled family event.

This year’s event from 12.30pm on Sunday at the recreation ground will be a record breaker with more than 60 stalls and lots of traditional fun and games from hook-a-duck and fairground rides to a brass band performance.

Farnham mayor Cllr Brodie Mauluka will get the party started while visitors can expect a singing princess, community tent and charity stalls.

Young entrepreneurs from Weydon School will have a stall, there’s the ever-popular dog show and petrolheads can marvel at the vintage car display.

Hungry visitors will be spoilt for choice with plenty of mouth-watering options available from curry and BBQ food to slushies and milkshakes with free candy floss for kids.
