Fresh doubts have been served up over the future of a fraught development in Farnham amid claims a key eatery has become the latest firm to pull out.
Rumours have circulated in recent days that Coppa Club is no longer coming to Brightwells Yard as its would-be home in the development remains empty.
A Surrey County Council figure also admitted at a recent meeting in Farnham that it was “50-50” that CC would open up in Brightwells House with recent inaction on site only heightening concerns.
The pullout has not been officially confirmed as the Herald has repeatedly asked for an update from Grifco, the PR firm representing Coppa Club, while SCC have been unable to give an update at the time of writing.
But it has led to concerns that CC will become the second ‘anchor’ firm to pull out after M&S quit the scheme earlier this decade.
The uncertainty has also overshadowed the soft launch of Jetts Gym at the same time.
