The Bush Hotel was rocked by a chorus of voices as the world’s largest contemporary choir celebrated a book launch by the group’s founder Caroline Redman Lusher.
Families, friends and guests gathered at the Farnham hotel to celebrate the launch of SING: The Story of Rock Choir with a special performance from the Rock Choir branches from Farnham, Guildford and Godalming being among the highlights.
The book details Caroline’s journey from a young girl with dreams of becoming a pop star to becoming an entrepreneur and leader of an award-winning organisation.
The memoir gives readers an intimate look into the highs and lows she has experienced and the significant moments which have shaped her journey.
Members of the Rock Choir were able to get signed copies of the book and chat to Caroline during the celebratory event.
They performed Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns and Roses, Somewhere Only We Know by Keane and What a Feeling from the Flashdance soundtrack.
To finish off they performed Loco in Acapulco by The Four Tops where each choir member rushed into the crowd to grab someone in the audience to dance with, adding to the fun.
The choir which originated in Farnham nearly two decades ago now has counterparts across the UK and has featured in huge shows from BBC at the Proms to ITV documentaries The Choir That Rocks.
The book sold out on launch day on Amazon, Waterstones and WHSmith but is still available https://www.splendidpublications.co.uk/store/p/sing-the-story-of-rockchoir
